San Jose

Day 52

San Jose's weather does not change. Ever. Mornings are cool and cloudy, the sun comes out at 11:00, it warms up to the 70s, cools down by dinner, gets windy, then 50s through the evening. The lack of change is boring, but the weather's nice so I shouldn't complain.

Kendrick and I headed out for an easy 4 miles after breakfast, running the Guadalupe Trail south towards the city. Since getting back to sea level runs have been easier on the cardio and non eventful on the legs. In a few days I may restart a speed program, but we'll see what happens.

After a lunch of eggs, we spent an hour at the pool trying to drown ourselves as young kids learned how not to. I gave Rupprecht a quick call to see how things are back east while Liv watched a movie, then we headed to Piatti for some fine Italian food. The dishes were excellent and properly portioned, not too small and not heaping like the rest of America's restaurants. Since Abbey works there, our $88.00 bill was cut in half, making it quite reasonable.

Tomorrow we plan to layout the outline of our trip to wine country, but that's about all.
