Day 50
Today was a day of not too much happenings. Kendrick and Abby spent the day avoiding studying for their MCATs while Liv and I lounged. I busted out a miserable 10 miles along the Guadeloupe Trail to San Jose International Airport, actually stopping a few times to deal with a series of gut busting cramps. Being out of shape sucks. But the day's dehydration and malnourishment probably contributed to my woes.
We tried swimming, but some lessons at the pool kept us dry before heading to Quizno's for a mediocre dinner. We managed to procure some Ben & Jerry's and cookies that provided Kendrick and Abby with a study distraction.
The evening entertainment was American Gangster, a surprisingly good movie without the expected gore that usually accompanies large amounts of violence. Again, Denzel was bad ass.
Tonight we're trying to sleep on our camp pads, rather than dealing with the ever deflating air mattress.
