Rocky Mountain National Park to Aurora, Colorado

Day 30
This morning an East Coast kid attempted to run for a hour at 9,000'.  Well, I managed to cover 4 miles and ended the run with a pounding headache and gasping for oxygen that just wasn't there.  In short, it was an amazing ass kicking.
After striking the site, we drove to Howard Peak and took a short hike to a small stream.  The water was painfully cold but expectantly refreshing before getting in the Wagon and driving towards Denver.
Along the Peaks to Peaks Highway, I managed to give Liv a bad piece of direction and we ended up committed on a dirt road barely attached to the cliff we were driving down.  I thoroughly loved the white-knuckled death drive we were taking but Liv wasn't sharing my enthusiasm.  All said, the Wagon descended 4,000', covered 10 extra miles, and put the trip 30 minutes off center.  No worries though, we safely made it to Beau Jo's Pizza in Idaho Springs and filled up on overpriced goodness.
After a life history lesson from a local bike shop owner, we finished the drive to Chip and Becky's in Aurora, CO and caught up on overdue showers.
